What's New?

Happy Near Year!

One of my resolutions is to better about blogging and to work with the others to make sure this blog gets updated regularly. Hopefully we can get it going so there is a new post a week.

I'll get it rolling by letting you know what's new in the classroom!

It seems like since our upgrade last year the classroom has been painfully slow. We moved to a better server, installed a new copy of the classroom software and then moved everything over from the old server. While there was nothing to pack and no heavy boxes to lift, the move was slow and tedious, nonetheless.

The new server definitely seems faster! You may have noticed the new look. I like the picture at the top of the home page. Look for it to change every month!

We've added some new features to the classroom, too.

• From the main screen you can click on the link for the Classes Starting annoucement and go right to the class. Once you have an account you can then use PayPal to pay for the course and be enrolled immediately.
• Once you are in the class notes will show next to the quiz, discussion, practice and assignment letting you know when each activity is complete.
• The classes have a new layout. We've labeled all the activities so you know which one goes with which lesson. Honestly, there were times I got lost, too!
