This course will review the skills necessary to pass the GED. Students will review the basic skill needed to pass each of the five tests: Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies.
In this course students will:
- Take GED Pretests to determine what areas they will need to study.
- Identify grammatical errors in written text.
- Write essays using good writing organization.
- Identify the correct answers in multiple choice questions dealing with US and World history.
- Correctly answer questions relating to civics, economics and geography.
- Correctly answer questions related to biology and earth sciences.
- Identify the correct answer for questions related the Physical Sciences.
- Correctly answer questions related to the interpretation of fiction and poetry.
- Correctly answer questions related to interpreting drama and nonfiction.
- Correctly answer math problems involving whole numbers and basic mathematical operations.
- Correctly solve math problems involving decimals and fractions.
- Correctly answer math problems involving statistics, percents and probability.
- Correctly answer questions involving solving algebraic statements and word problems.
- Correctly answer questions involving units of measure and geomety.
- Identify ways to prepare for the GED exam.
Prerequisites
Students should be familiar with browsing the internet, uploading files and using their operating system.
Requirements
No special software or equipment is required for this course.
