This class will give students a thorough understanding of the features of Microsoft Word. Be able to create, edit, format and print Word documents that include outlines, tables, styles and sections. Other essential topics including printing, saving and retrieving files are also covered. Learn to create a newsletter that uses columns, drawings, and object linking and embedding. Create web pages using Word and learn how to create a website. Llearn how to use the Workgroups features of Word, how to create Forms, Master Documents and Macros. Students will need a basic understanding of Windows to complete this class. Students will need a copy of Office. A 30-day trial version is available.
In this course students will:
Identify ways Microsoft Word can be used for business and personal use.
Use Microsoft Word to create a document and use the spell checker.
Use Microsoft Word to edit and format a document.
Use Microsoft Word to add graphics to a document, use templates and wizards to create new documents and create a mail merge.
Use Microsoft Word to create longer documents using outlines, page numbers, headers and footers as well as tables and styles.
Use Microsoft Word to create a newsletter.
Use Microsoft Word to create a web page.
Use Microsoft Word to create forms, master documents, and macros.
Use VBA to enhance the macros they create in Word.
Create a final project that demonstrates what they have learned in this course.
