Have you ever experienced situations like these?
- Your coworker tells you while she feels you should choose one course of action over another when what you really wanted were facts.
- You really want to go to that new club that just opened with your friends, but your significant other wants to stay in and play cards.
- You tell your child not to touch the hot pot and he does it anyway.
Does it seem like everyone is out to drive you crazy?
Believe it or not, they are not doing it on purpose. They are just being true to their personality types.
Learn how to get along better and communicate with those around you by learning about your personality type and theirs. By learning how their minds work you can save your mind!
For example, you are a detail person and your boss is a big picture person. Before presenting him with all your facts and figures, start with what they all mean. He may be more willing to hear the details once he has the big picture.
- Some personalities make decisions based on their feelings while others stick with the facts.
- Some personalities get energy from interacting with other people while others get their energy from inside of themselves.
- Some personalities will never believe anything you say until they have a chance to experience it themselves, while others will take what you say at face value.
There is no right or wrong approach. Your approach is right for you . . .
. . . and theirs is right for them.
In four fun lessons we will introduce you to various personality style theories and allow you to identify your styles and how they affect how you learn, work and interact with others. In addition we will explore the learning styles of those around you to help you better understand why those around you act and think like they do.
