Parents, teachers and other that work children will learn to use Positive Discipline to encourage self-respect, self-discipline, cooperation, good behavior and problem-solving skills in their children in this instructor-led online class.
Topics to be covered include how to create natural and logical consequences, how to effectively encourage children and the four mistaken goals of behavior.
In this course students will:
Identify their parenting challenges and discuss their parenting goals.
Identify the terminology associated with Positive Parenting.
Identify the reasons why children behave the way they do.
Identify ways they can apply natural and logical consequences.
Encourage their children effectively.
Create an agenda for family meetings.
Reflect on what they have learned and how they can apply it to their family.
Prerequisites
Students should be familiar with browsing the internet, uploading files and using their operating system.
