This course is developed for employees, managers and owners, all of which may have different needs. You will learn step-by-step, how to set-up QuickBooks, track customer information that is important to you and handle all of the day-to-day accounting needs of a business. With this software you will have options to create estimates, track job costs and progress, track inventory, invoice customers, track receivables, pay bills including sales tax, handle payroll, track employees' time worked, write form letters in Microsoft Word, create reports in Microsoft Excel, create financial statements. Students will need to have a copy of QuickBooks.
In this course students will:
- Define basic accounting terminology used in the QuickBooks software and demonstrate general navigation within the software.
- Demonstrate their knowledge of various areas in the software that allow for a user to enter unique information.
- Complete general ledger transactions to bank, credit card, and other various balance sheet accounts.
- Demonstrate their knowledge of the various ways of recording customer transactions.
- Demonstrate their knowledge of the accounts payable and sales tax processes in QuickBooks.
- Demonstrate their knowledge of payroll tracking options within QuickBooks, as well as setup and pay employees.
Prerequisites
Students should be familiar with browsing the internet, uploading files and using their operating system.
Requirements
Students will need a copy of Quickbooks.
